Repro Alerts!

I have some favorite country primitive catalogs I love to order from and have recently noticed many enamelware ware / graniteware pieces are being reproduced. They are reproducing everything from children's tea sets to coffee boilers. These reproduced pieces come complete with "chips" and "wear" to make them look old. I am posting photos of just some of pieces that are being reproduced, so please be careful when buying pieces similar to these on auction sites, local antique shops and flea markets.

I do not think there IS anything wrong with Reproductions, sometimes we just cannot afford an original, however I just think it is the responsibility of dealers & sellers to be honest and not try to pass these off as "genuinely old" pieces. While most dealers are honest, unfortunately there are some who may purchase these and try to pass them off as "genuinely old".

This area is just to alert you of just some of pieces that are being reproduced.

Thank you and Happy Hunting!
